College Between Palms

Dome of the Marist College at Murcia.
"It was in July 1934 when he laid the foundation stone and inaugurated in September 1935. During the Spanish civil war, the center was converted into Hospital Blood and, after the war, the building was fully recovered in August 1949, because until then a major part of it housed the Military Hospital "Calvo Sotelo." In the fifties and sixties the school consolidated its prestige and important educational internship section supposed to exercise a wide radius of influence.
In the surroundings of the building built by architect Rafael Castillo and Saiz, between 1934 and 1935, sober and austere but balanced and harmonious, simple but monumental, is an image that is linked to the Paseo del Malecón and the memory of multiple experience for the thousands of students who have passed through its halls." No, not Brazil, not Rio de Janeiro. This is the castle of Monteagudo in Murcia. More info here.

"The castle was made of plaster walls , is divided and organized into three levels or platforms , building on uneven terrain, where wells, ranches, stores, theaters and other buildings with distributed functionality . The towers that flank all corners of the enclosure are reentrant angles, very characteristic in mardanisí taifa .
It is worth mentioning that on top of the hill, dominating the valley , found the monument to the Heart of Jesus, majestic sculpture 14 meters high, designed in 1951 by artist Ramón Nicolás Martínez ( 1905-1990 ).  This monumental work, which enjoys great devotion among the inhabitants of the village , it is actually a replica of a previous sculpture was built in 1926 , designed by Anastasio Hernández Martínez ( 1874-1933 ) and destroyed during the Spanish Civil War , but subsequently rebuilt in 1951 , is comparable to the Christ Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro but on a smaller scale." Street Art For Thinking

Cantabella (an artist I've talked about before) has taken her art to billboards, with assertive thoughts and images for thought.
Freedom is not forever. A riot controlling a herd of wild horses.
