Old Cathedral Of Cartagena

It is believed that the origin of this cathedral, of which only ruins, dating from the first century BC.
The current appearance of the building is due to the reconstruction of the architect Victor Beltrí in 1902 in Romanesque style. During the Civil War, and because of the bombing, it was virtually destroyed, as we can see today. Inside the enclosure wall remains of the Roman theater and the upper stands and perimeter structures it is preserved. Also, in an underground crypt, you can admire a Roman mosaic from the first century BC found in this place in 1877.
