Predictive Graffiti.
I think this graffiti foretold the future. In fact, I think that shows the image is the result of the match of the FIFA World Cup South Africa 2010, between teams from Chile and Spain: 1-2.I took the picture a few weeks ago.

Roma 21
Not in Rome, or Roma Street. Passing of this house, I saw the sign above the door there, and could not avoid to take a picture.
I have no idea why this sign is there.

This sporting event, attended by 850 sportsmen from 12 countries. Sportsmen participated aged between 14 and 50 years. The modalities that were played were those of kata and kumite.

Consulate In Rent.
Is the Consulate of the Dominican Republic crisis, which is rented? Guess not, but the sign next to the Republica Dominica Consulado (Dominican Republic Consulate) reads: Se Alquila (For Rent). I think that the place is to rent, not a consulate.

Rings Building. (Alicante)
A last couple of images of my visit to Alicante, between today and tomorrow.
This is a building that must have been built in the 70's. It caught my attention, which appear metallic trim rings.

Nit De La Cremá 2010.
This night will burn the monuments of the feasts of San Juan: the bonfires in Alicante (Hogueras de Alicante).
Although the Night of San Juan (Midsummer) was last night, throughout Spain were bonfires in honor of the summer solstice. The young (and not so young) made their bonfires on the beach, squares, private land, ...
Photo: Foguera (Bonfire) of the Town Hall of Alicante.
Here, you can watch a summary of Midsummer 2009.

Bonfires 2010. Hogueras 2010. Fogueres 2010. (Alicante)
During these days, in the neighboring city of Alicante (about 75 km from Murcia), held the Bonfires of San Juan (Saint John), in honor of this Saint. What was once a pagan festival, became a Christian holiday, but has returned to what it was: pagan.
The photo: facade of the Town Hall of Alicante, baroque style building built in the eighteenth century. On the facade reads: Fogueres 2010 (Bonfires 2010)
More about this festival, here, in my post of Bonfires 2009

Far West.
This photo could be taken in Almeria, where many films were shot on the Far West (memorable are some of the films made by Italians in Almeria, called Spaghetti Westerns). It could be a canyon of those films, as well regained kevin Costner, and, above all, Clint Eastwood, in Unforgiven.
But not, this is the abandoned stone quarry is located in the town of La Cueva in Murcia.
Here you can see a panoramic photo that I took last March.

Jacaranda
These trees that you see in the image are Jacarandas (Jacaranda mimosifolia). This tree has its origins in Brazil, Paraguay and northern Argentina, and it was named by the original name that was given to this plant in Brazil. It is a fast growing deciduous tree, and it is resistant to urban conditions as indicated in plantations of alignment. (Source: infojardin.com).
This set of jacarandas you can find it on Avenida Mariano Rojas, in the city of Murcia.

Bug Roundabout
This roundabout on Avenida Juan Carlos I, there is a sculpture that seems (or so it seems to me) a mantis, or a stick bug, I have not clear. I guess over time people will put the name that they please: blue bug, blue scale, the hydraulic hammer ...
From inside the roundabout, cross the tram line 0.

FC Cartagena
FC Cartagena is the football team of the city of Cartagena, and plays in the Spanish second division. Throughout the year, this team has surprised both his supporters, as well as the rest of the teams in the silver division of Spanish football, as they have been with options up to first Division, until yesterday, when it only need a football match to finish the league.
So this team bus will not be able to take the main road to First Division.

Invasion.
With the rains of the past month, and the sun in recent days, in areas of the orchard (huerta) of Murcia, there is an invasion of snails. (Click on image to see details of the traffic light is full of snails).
Although this is also used in Murcia, and a variety of snails (Serranas) is used in several dishes of Murcia, such as rice with rabbit and snails (a variety of paella, delicious), or snails in sauce. The procedure for preparing these dishes I will explain another day.

Spain Thrashed Poland.
Yesterday, it played the friendly match between Spain and Poland, Nueva Condomina Stadium in Murcia, in the preparation of the Spanish National Football Team for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. The score was 6-0. Here you can see the 2-0, a goal of anthology that will remain in the retinas of many viewers for a long time.
And today, it was the day of the Region of Murcia, a holiday which commemorates the autonomy and status of the Region of Murcia.

Warhol Graffiti
By viewing this graffiti, I've wondered if Warhol would be a graffiti artist if he had had to live this time. Perhaps the graffiti is an evolution of Pop-Art? Perhaps the ultimate evolution of art: Pop Art and Rock Art.

Central Lechera Murciana
This is what remains of the Central Murcian Dairy (El Prado), or the center of processing, packaging and marketing of El Prado (the meadow) in Murcia.
I remember being in school, we went to visit these facilities (perhaps I was about 9 years old). We were amazed that packaging technology. The best part was the end of the visit when they invited us to take several of their products: my favorite, chocolate milk.
Central Lechera El Prado was founded in 1955. It merged with Industrias Lácteas Cervera in 1988, changing its name to Grupo El Prado Cervera, in 1997. In 1999 move to belong to 3A SA 3A (Alliance Agro-Alimental). In 2004 were purchased by the French group Lactalis (Président).
On the horizontal blue line (which has 12 vertical blue stripes), had the silhouette of a cow and the name of El Prado.

2nd Anniversary Of MurciaDailyPhoto
Although I made several attempts months earlier, the first photo that I published was the June 4, 2008.
As the figures in the last year: 297 photos, over 7500 visits (the figures of the previous anniversary, here.) Perhaps, for most blogs, not many visitors, but for me it's an honor to be visited by people around the world.
I am very grateful to all who visit this humble blog, but especially to those who leave comments, stressing on my appreciation to Hilda, Irish Molly, Abe Lincoln, JM, Nobu, Leif Hagen...
(I apologize for the names that I have not, but I am very grateful for every comment left)
About the photo of today: this is a photo montage with old artillery barracks in the background. At the foot of the photo, the Cathedral (my first photo published), the Christ of Monteagudo (the picture I used for the first anniversary).
