Curious Building.
This is not a beautiful building but it has a curiosity.
It is a building with two facades. On this side (Santa Teresa street), the building is the headquarters in Murcia, of one of the major national unions: UGT (General Union of Workers). Well, on the other facade (Acisclo Diaz street), is the headquarters of employers' organization of hotel industry and tourism. Curious.

Veneration
I do not know who is the image that family venerates. It may be St. Nicholas, as the house is very close to the parish of St. Nicholas.

Hospice Of Santa Florentina.
18th Century. A Baroque building founded by Cardenal Belluga as a founding home and maternity ward. Constructed in brick, it is the only construct of the baroque civil architecture which continues to serve the purpose it was originally intended. Today is does not maintain its original look due to changes in heights and openings produced in the facade over time. (source: Municipallity of Murcia)

Diaz Cassou House: Art Nouveau In Murcia.
This is one of the few Art Nouveau buildings that exits in the city of Murcia.
A work by Jose Antonio Rodriguez, built in 1906. Its a residential building that incorporates modernist elements of Catalan influence, characterized by the taste in ornamental stylistic and naturalistic features.
The author wisely made a chamfer at the corner of the building, junction of the two facades of it and moving on it, and breaks the line projected from the ledge. The center organizes a clean semicircular balcony surmounted by an iron railing.
It is located at Santa Teresa street and is home to Molina Sánchez Foundation.
Here you can play a video about this building.

Forest City
As always, depending on the perspective from which you take a photo, you can display a different view of reality.
It is really a mini garden between several buildings in the downtown, near San Esteban.

Camouflage
You have to look quite good to see the squirrel in the tree (pine tree).
That kind of squirrel can be seen in many of the mountains of the Region of Murcia.

Spices
Bulk spices in the shop window of an herbarium.
Those are an ancient condiment. In the picture: I know two spices: bay leaves (center), and a Ñora (top right). The Ñora, typical of the Region of Murcia is a small pepper that is dried and the pepper that can be made. Also, breaking and crushing it a bit, you can give colour to many fish stews and rice dishes (paella) as the cauldron (a rice dish that you must try if you visit the Region of Murcia (best taken in bars and restaurants on the coast).

June 9th. Day Of The Region Of Murcia.
Today is the day of the Region of Murcia. 30 years ago, the Region of Murcia was the approval of the statute of autonomy of Murcia (June 9, 1982).
Today is a holiday. The city of Murcia is almost empty. People usually go to the beach or to other provinces or to theme parks.
Image: Palacio San Esteban (Saint Stephen Palace). This building is the seat of the Regional Government (located in Murcia)

Bite The Apple
"Bite the apple, said the Beatles to Snow White". That could be possible in a new Snow White film version, because, seeing the new movies of that story, the tale has changed a lot.
There are more than 300 Apple Store in the world. But this is the seventh that has opened in Spain. This is the Apple Store Murcia, at Nueva Condomina mall. It is opened since three weeks ago. That day there was a great expectation. There were people awaiting for 14 hours to be the first to come into the store. Very curious.
Here you can see the "Spanish version" of the "I...". LOL

Ancient Roman Theatre Of Cartagena
The Roman Theatre of Cartagena was discovered by chance when they were going to be built in this place the Regional Centre for Crafts in 1988. This was one of the most humble areas of Cartagena. The Theatre was under houses, and part of the Old Cathedral of Cartagena (background left of the image).
A little of history: The Roman Theatre was built between 5 and 1 BC, as it has been proven by the dedication of the edifice to Gaius and Lucius Caesar, grandsons of Augustus, who had designed them as his successors. In the third century AD, was a market until it was abandoned in 425 AD. In the sixth century opened up another market. In the thirteenth century were built over part of the stands the old Cathedral. In 1988 first remains were found (as I mentioned before). The restoration was completed in 2003. In 2008 were built its museum.
The capacity of this Theatre was about 7000 people.

Swan And Lake
Because there are not two without three (in Spanish sounds better:no hay dos sin tres). After the experimental lake (fairly calm), the Tranquility theme day. Swan Lake posing in the garden of saltpetre or powder (jardín del Salitre o de la pólvora)
I had doubts about that photo chosen for the Theme Day, so in the end I posted three: the day before, the same day and the day after.
