The Beginning Of The Festivities.

Yesterday, with the arrival of the Virgin of La Fuensanta to Cathedral of Murcia, began the September's Fair.
Always, two Thursdays before the second Tuesday of September, the Fair of Murcia (Feria de Murcia) begins with a procession from the Sanctuary of La Fuensanta to the Cathedral of Murcia (about 10km).

Red Flag

Sometimes it's hard to swim at the beach, especially if they prohibited bathing, with that red flag.

Mil Palms Beach 2012

There is still a place to get in the sand of this beach.
Mil Palmeras is a beach next to Torre de la Horadada, which is about 5 kilometers from the coast of the Region of Murcia.

Grosa Island

Grosa Island and La Manga.

The Grosa island is a Spanish island in the municipality of San Javier in Region of Murcia. It is the only island in the environment of the Mar Menor which is outside of it. It is a very steep volcanic cone that exceeds 90 meters, at a distance of 2.5 kilometers north of La Manga del Mar Menor.
The island was a refuge for Berber pirates until the eighteenth century.
Noted for its botanical and ornithological richness: it nesting petrels, cormorants, peregrine falcon, Audouin's gull. It has a pier and there were only buildings associated with military activities. The island was a military zone until 2000, when it was ceded to the Murcia to carry out activities related to the environment (until then it was the place of training special units of combat divers and bomb disposal Dive Center of the Navy).
It forms a perfect volcanic cone, but like most eroded volcanoes at Region of Murcia.

Torre De La Horadada

The Torre de la Horadada is a town located by the sea, dependent parish town of Pilar de la Horadada (22,000 inhab.), Province of Alicante Spain. Seaside Village, which has recently experienced its development through tourism. It owes its name to two factors: first, the sixteenth century watchtower (image) and the second, the place where the tower is located: Punta de la Horadada (tip of the pierced) (the "pierced" is due to that this projection of the sea ground, has small caves made by water, ie it is drilled, ie holed).

Walking On Water

Fishing Boats

Those are traditional fishing boats at the port of Cape Palos.

El Mosqui

El Mosqui restaurant began as a beach bar in 1956, is a great place to take paella, and above all, the pot of rice and fish (typical dish from the Murcian coast). A delight.
It is located in Cape Palos.

Monastery Of Saint Gines De La Jara.

This monastery is abandoned.
It was built by the Franciscan Order in the sixteenth century under the patronage of the Marquis of Velez. From this period dates the main facade in which the shields are those referred Franciscans and Velez.
As a green oasis in the arid fields of Cartagena around the monastery lay a fertile and luxuriant garden and gardens.
In the nineteenth century the monastery was disentailed and began the ruin of the monastery. Some chapels with frescoes of the XVII century were demolished. It was purchased by individuals who made several reforms to make private house.
Today, despite having been declared of Cultural Interest by decree of 28 February 1992, the monastery is in a lamentable state of ruin due to neglect.
It is located next to the Mar Menor, before arriving at La Manga.

Acrobatic Airplane: Patrulla Aguila

This is an airplane used for air shows (that one no longer flies) belonging to the Eagle Patrol (Patrulla Águila). That plane is exhibited next to the Polytechnic University of Cartagena.
The Patrulla Águila is a group of air force pilots, making acrobatic shows in places where they are called.
