Full Moon And Roman Quarry

Archaeological remains of a Roman quarry from the second century B.C. This opencast quarry runs parallel to the coastline along more than 60 meters (Source: pilardelahoradada.org)

This year, I have tried to have an orchard. Two years ago I tried with lettuces, but I had got nothing.
Now, I have tried with onions and cherry tomatoes. And, yes, that is the result.
Very ecological red tomatoes (some of them have life inside).

Santa Maria

During the holidays, not only beach, eat, relax, man lives. There are also times for fun.
One of the most popular areas of the Mar Menor for drinks is La Curva of Lo Pagan.
One of its most iconic nightlife spots, Santa Maria, which, on the outside, is a replica of Christopher Columbus' ship, which traveled to discover (or rediscover) the New World.

Summer is the time of year used by pilgrims and walkers to do the Camino de Santiago.

With this photo, I finish the visit to this beautiful natural place.
This is the exit of the Strait of La Arboleja. You just have to climb two meters tall. It also serves as entrance.

In some sections inside the Strait of  La Arboleja, we can find water. Across the strait, you can see how the walls squeeze water through the rock.
It is not recommended to go in the rainy season, as it can be dangerous water level inside.

Entering a little more in the Strait of La Arboleja, we can see how narrow it is.
Another thing to highlight is the indoor temperature. These photos I took a few weeks ago, while outside were 30 ° Celsius, inside was less than 20 ° Celsius. A coolness was welcome.

Canyon At Strait Of La Arboleja

The whole area of the Strait of La Arboleja is an area of limestones that has been eroded by water over thousands of years. In fact, this area has fossil remains of more than 9 million years. You can find coral debris, because it was submerged by the waters of the sea. Everything at southeastern of Spain was the last area to emerge from the waters.

In recent years, it has been conditioned access to Arboleja Strait. A convenient place for both adults and children. A place for hiking, caving, and a walk through geologic history.

In the following days I invite you to visit one of the places, geologically speaking, most important and beautiful of the Region of Murcia: the Strait of La Arboleja / La Agualeja.
Only 1,5 km from Aledo, is this place, which is accessible by car, up to this wooden bridge.
