River And Bridge

This is the end of the stretch of the Segura River as it passes through the city of Murcia. There's a kind of dike or small dam, to maintain a proper course passing through the city. After that, there is the actual river bed.

Lots Of Space

All the people that are at the background are watching at Peral Submarine, the first electric battery-powered submarine, equipped with one torpedo tube. Previously, it was installed here. Located at Cartagena, Region of Murcia.

I like the design of this bench but I don't think that it could be very comfortable.

Bumping Cars

Today I have learnt that "coches de choque" (Spanish) means in English: Bumper cars. But this name is used in US English. And in British English is Dodgems, which origin come from the former major brand (20's to 50's) for this attraction of this small electric cars.
This year, at SOS 4.8, there was a free bumper car attraction. Very funny.

Music & Gas Petrol

One thing that I liked a lot at Gastro Truck 2016, it was the music live. Music from 50's to 70's. At least the time that I was there.

Food Trucks In The Bullring

The Food-Trucks are trendy. This weekend they have organized a gastro-truck meeting in the bullring of Murcia. 12 food-trucks offering a variety of meals.

Under The Rainbow

While a few drops of rain were falling , and the sun was not blocked by the clouds, we could see this beautiful rainbow.

Ending 9th SOS 48 Festival

Today has finished the SOS 4.8 Festival 2016. Next year: 10th edition. We are awaiting!

SOS 4.8 Festival On Stage. 2016.

The SOS 4.8 Festival lasts 48 hours (from Friday afternoon to early Sunday), plus called "snacks SOS" (Saturday and Sunday from 12:00 to 17:00) which are free.
In 48 hours, more than 50 performances between bands and DJs.

May'16 Theme Day. Smell. Paparajote.

Today come together on the same day: The International Workers' Day, the Mother's Day (in Spain, the first Sunday in May), and the citydailyphoto bloggers community Theme Day. This month: Smell.
In the picture, Paparajotes, a typical Murcian dessert (made in at home). They smell like lemon and cinnamon. Lemon, which gives the leaf lemon tree that is inside, and cinnamon, that is sprinkled with sugar (a mixture of both).
How to make Paparajotes: ingredients and preparation of paparajote. I hope you enjoy it.
 -2 Eggs,
-1 / 2 liters of milk,
-8 grams of yeast,
-500 grams wheat flour
-100 grams Sugar,
-Olive oil ,
-A pinch of salt,
-A mixture of sugar and cinnamon to sprinkle,
-Lemon tree leaves
Beat the eggs, and milk and add the yeast and the salt. Add all the flour necessary till form a creamy mass.
Put the olive oil to heat, when it is hot, soaking lemon tree leaves (both sides) in the dough and then fry them.
You can eat as they leave the pan (placed the leaves on absorbent paper to remove excess oil), sprinkling with sugar and cinnamon. It may be accompanied by an ice cream ball.
Bon profit!
Note: Do not eat the lemon tree leaf. It's just for flavoring.
