Another look at this exhibition.
- Left: "Pippi" by Goyo 203 (Region of Murcia, Spain). José Luis, better known as Goyo 203, began to paint in a self-taught way and almost without pretending it has become his way of life. Colourful murals and brimming with force that trap the viewer from the first moment. Thanks to his work, his many concerns and his adventurous spirit and survivor he has become the successful artist he is today.
On the right:
- Top left: "Anhelos2" (Longings2) by Kraser (Region of Murcia, Spain). José Jorge Nicolás Salas, aka Kraser, has been painting for more than twenty years. "When I was 12 years old, graffiti started to attract attention when I saw them painted on the streets of their city." It receives influences of Picasso, Kandinsky, the surrealists, Mersad Berber and Keith Haring, among others. Although in his work he tries to tell stories, sometimes he becomes visceral and direct. He has exhibited his work around the world and currently lives in Milan.
- Bottom left: "S.W.A.T" by Ludo (France). Ludo's work, often called "The Revenge of Nature," connects the world of plants and animals with our technological universe. Drawing with the precision of the botanical illustrations, Ludo proposes to us elegant and ferocious hybrid organisms. Bees hovering behind gas masks and spectacles, automatic weapons crowning the head of sunflowers, etc. The work of ludo is present in both Europe, as in America and Asia.
- Top and bottom right, here, in a previous post.

4 Graffiti Frames
- Top left: "Photograph in Shangai" by Jana&JS (Austria/France). JANA and JS are a couple of artists working together since 2006. Austrian and French, who now live in Salzburg (Austria) after spending a few years in Madrid and Paris, their main theme is the urban look. They work with stencils (templates) that they cut by hand according to their own photos. Nowadays they work both in urban spaces and in closed exhibition spaces.
- Top right: "Skull key" by OSCH (Chile). Otto Schade's painting ranges from abstract and surrealism to urban art. Working primarily with oil painting and traditional media such as canvas, he also practices other techniques such as collage, illustration and template. His art has taken him to Berlin, Moscow, New York, Amsterdam and finally to London, where he currently lives and works.
- Bottom left: "Jessica" by David Walker (UK). This artist has created an inimitable style of female portraits. His technique is based on explosive mixtures of colors in which he only uses the aerosol. The fame of David Walker has led him to exhibit his works in Berlin, Hong Kong, Los Angeles, Lisbon, London, New York and Paris, among other places, along with those of other great urban artists and representatives of the street movement.
- Bottom right: "No digas a los niños lo rápido que pasa el tiempo" (Don't tell kids how fast time passes) by Jef Aerosol (France). Jean-François Perroy, better known as Jef Aerosol, is a French artist who works in templates. He made his first stencil in Tours in 1982. He remains one of the pioneers and leaders in this ephemeral art. Much of his work is dedicated to street musicians, beggars, children, etc. Paint the life-size silhouettes. White, black and gray are his chosen colours and we will always see his famous and mysterious red arrow. Many cities around the world have been blessed with his pieces and countless portraits of famous people immortalized by the artist.

Chameleon
From the exibition at MUBAM: "Urban art: From street to the museum".
Camaleón by Bordalo II (Portugal). Artur Bordalo or Bordalo II is an urban artist who uses scrap and recycles it into wonderful and amazing street art. In his own words, "the garbage of one man is the treasure of another man". His sculptural creations take life and movement in a spectacular 3D with a final touch of spray that brings him closer to graffiti than to the works of galleries.

The Gun
A love this exhibition. I'm sorry if I am boring you.
- Left: "Retrato (Portrait)" by Carlos Callizo (Seville, Spain). Doctor "Cum Laude" in Fine Arts by the University of Murcia. He has dedicated himself exclusively to painting and in recent years has experimented with murals and Urban Art, getting to participate in the Urban Art Festival "Le M.U.R" in Paris. Currently he combines this activity with Professor of painting at the Faculty of Fine Arts at University of Murcia.
-Middle: Make art not war" by Jeaze Oner (France). Jeaze Oner began to paint walls in 1999. He emphasizes for giving to some of his works different perspectives when painting in the ground obtaining thus a 3D effect using only the aerosol. Also they have great acceptance their works where it recreates the fire. A graffiti artist that astonishes us by the hyperrealism in its works, its three-dimensionality and its colours.
During the preparation of this exhibition Jeaze passed away. Rest in peace.
On the right wall.
- Top left: "No Nothing" by Shoe (Holland). Niels Meulman, SHOE, has generated in the world of urban art a new creative order combining traditional graffiti with calligraphy and creating a worldwide phenomenon called Calligraffiti. In the early days he only painted the calligraphy with silver and black, but the colour can be very seductive, so little by little began experimenting with metallic and iridescent paintings. Now he works in a style he can call his own with pride and whose popularity pushes him to keep moving forward.
- Top right: I have no data.
- Bottom left: "Hope" by Icy&Sot (Iran). ICY (born in 1985) and SOT (born in 1991) are artists who work mainly on the stencil with spray. There are few places in the world where urban art is as ephemeral and as dangerous as in Iran. They started painting the walls of their hometown of Tabriz until things got tough, they packed up and went to New York, where they have given free rein to their particular vision of urban art in which the reality of their country is very present Although with great doses of irony.
- Bottom right: "With great power comes great responsability" by Retna (USA). As a child he was already very intrigued by the culture of graffiti. Retna has developed a style of graphism that he uses in much of his work. Each block of text is a system of hieroglyphs and calligraphy that has been influenced by Arabic writing, Egyptian hieroglyphics, Hebrew, and Native American typographies. In 2015 Retna designed the artwork for Justin Bieber's new album "Purpose".

Creation and Rats
Continuing with this amazing exhibition at MUBAM: "Urban art: From the stree to the museum".
- Left: "Bribe" by Cranio (Brazil). Fabio de Oliveira Parnaiba, known as Cranio, began in 1998 to cover the walls of his city with great imagination and good humor. Their typical characters of blue color represent the natives of Brazil, who always find themselves in funny and curious situations. Its most popular themes are consumerism, corruption and the environment.
- Right: "Please look at me" by Herakut (Germany). German artists Hera (Jasmin Siddiqui, 1981) and Akut (Falk Lehmann, 1977), both with roots in the graffiti scene, joined forces in 2004 and began to create collaborative work under the name of Herakut. In their creative process they try to tell stories and create imaginary worlds. Short quotes, passages or descriptions written next to the figures are references to the life of the character. Their artworks can be found in major cities around the world, from Toronto to Kathmandu, from San Francisco to Melbourne.

Mimicry
Mimed viewer with picture.
At "Urban art: From the street to the museum" exhibition. At MUBAM.
From top to bottom:
- "Ugly heroes" by Etam Crew (Poland). Under the name of Etam Crew are hidden artists: Bezt and Sainer. This Polish graffiti duo has given a turn to the street art because they create murals that occupy several floors of height. They handle perfectly the table of colors, the anatomy and styles, taking care of the last detail in their works. Although the Polish team works mainly in Eastern Europe, they have also created works in the United States, Portugal, Norway, Canada and Spain.
- "Parallel Realities" by Peeta (Italy). Italian writer, painter and sculptor Manuel Di Rita (aka Peeta) lives and works in Venice where, since 2000, he has achieved international fame for his unique 3D graffiti style. Through shadows and technical resources, this Venetian gets a spectacular three-dimensional effect in twisted and geometric shapes. Peeta not only creates work in public spaces, but also creates similar figures in canvases as well as sculptures.
- "Chief Thunder Thud" by D'Face (UK). Dean Stockton was born and raised in London. He is one of the most prolific graffiti artists of his generation. Create works in the pop-art style using sprays, paintings, stickers, posters and templates. Has been active for more than 15 years. His works are admired and followed in the city, and even, it has exhibited in galleries of New York, Los Angeles and Tokyo. Some consider it the British version of Shepard Fairey (Obey).
- "All you need is love" by Inkie (UK). Tom Bingle or "Inkie" is a London street painter and artist. His style is based on art nouveau influences with an urban touch. He is quoted as part of Bristol's graffiti heritage along with Banksy, 3D and Nick Walker. Far from 1989 and his days of being arrested for his graffiti, Bingle can boast of being the first and only street artist to paint in the Houses of Parliament of the United Kingdom. Inkie has worked as a design director for SEGA and Xbox. He has exhibited in London, Barcelona, Los Angeles, Ibiza, Warsaw, Belfast and Lisbon.

Use the world of wild animals to create a social and personal discourse. "My artistic influences," says Wild Welva, "are somewhat scattered, ranging from late nineteenth-century Art Nouveau sketchers, eighteenth-century engravings and urban artists such as Levalet."
- Llanto de bebé (Baby crying) by Mad Painter (Murcia, Spain). Willy Arenas is a founding member and president of "The Company of Mario", a collective that is dedicated to promote the art with diverse activities on the part of its members. Music so Close
Some of you I think that you know Sofar Sounds, maybe because you have one of its delegations at your city, or you have read it about it on newspapers or internet.
Since March, we have the opportunity at Murcia to live this experience: Sofar, songs from a room.
MurciaDailyPhoto was invited to the third Sofar concert last June 17th. It was a pleasure for me to be in that beautiful place thanks to the hosting of Maria Moya (an illustrator) and the organization of Nieves Martí as delegate of Sofar Sounds in Murcia.
Three bands in acoustic or semi-acoustic format had the chance to play in front of a few guests (around 20 people). Awesome this format so close.
The bands: Rey Lobo (top-right, from Murcia), Mario Morante (bottom-left, from Madrid) and Analogic (bottom-right, from Murcia).
