The Sound of Water
I am passionate about water. And, above all, from the sea. My most relaxing moment of the year comes in summertime. Listening to the sounds of water. I love it.

Inner Courtyard
Inner courtyard of the House Museum of the Wine Horses (Casa Museo de los Caballos del Vino, Caravaca de la Cruz, Regio of Murcia). This space dedicated to the Caballos del Vino (Wine Horses) is located in the old house of the family Muso Muñoz Melgarejo, from the 18th century, which has been totally restored. It is a journey through its origins until the present, where all aspects of the festivity are represented: the bareback horses, the design, embroidery and piece of harnessing, the Race...
The aim is to proudly transmit and spread, through several rooms and audiovisuals, the roots and the present situation of a celebration that is currently a candidate to be listed as Intangible Cultural Heritage. (Source: murciaturistica.es)

The Art of Recycling
More and more we have to be aware that recycling is the future of the Earth.

I like to take picture from people that don't know that they are being observed.
Picture: at "Siete" exhibition when the artist was painting a fresco, but people didn't leave artist working.

Stairway to Art
The painting is asking for a ladder. It seems that a figure from the fresco is holding out its hand for taking it.

Seven - Siete
This new project by the artist Pedro Cano was originated in August 1991, when ten thousand desperate Albanian refugees arrived at the Italian port of Bari aboard on the Vlora ship. Pedro Cano, overwhelmed by the conditions in which they arrived, then he painted some scenes on some papers that now, almost thirty years later, have become the works of Seven.
The exhibition can be visited at Veronicas exhibiton room, a former catholic church. Very beutiful.

MurciaDailyPhoto Turns 11
Since 11 years ago, I'm trying to publish a photo each day, although last years I have not enough time to publish with so much regularity. Since the beginning, more than 2500 pictures have been published. And all that started visiting ParisDailyPhoto (I miss it).
Anyway, I like a lot to take photos since I was a child when my parents and a uncle of mine bought their first reflex camera (I think a Nikon).
Hope you are enjoying the stories and the pictures that it has been published at MurciaDailyPhoto. I invite you to visit old pictures on that blog. I also invite you to visit those blogs that are part of CityDailyPhoto bloggers community.

Caravaca de La Cruz
"Caravaca de la Cruz is a town located on northwest of Region of Murcia, border to Granada. The Iberians, Romans and Muslims all passed through this town, which has developed around its Castle, built in the 15th century and commissioned by the Knights Templar. However, Caravaca is essentially the holy town, the town of the cross that carries its name. According to legend, in 1232 the Moorish King Abu Zeid was converted to Christianity when he saw how two angels brought a cross down from heaven to a priest held prisoner in the castle in order for him to give mass. This legend led to the construction, as from 1617 and on the site of the fortress itself, of the main monument of this town in the north-east of Murcia, the Chapel of La Vera Cruz. The most important feature of this building is its luxurious façade, made from red marble excavated in Cehegín and which offers a complete exaltation to the Holy Cross.
Caravaca de la Cruz, Holy Town. In 1998 the Pope awarded Caravaca de la Cruz the Jubilee Year, making this town the fifth in the world, together with four other cities (Santiago de Compostela, Santo Toribio de Liébana, Roma and Jerusalem), to be allowed to celebrate the Perpetual Jubilee. This means that the Holy See allows the town to celebrate the Holy Year every seven years in perpetuum at the Chapel of La Vera Cruz, the next Jubilee Year at Caravaca de la Cruz being the year 2024. However this Chapel, which also has an interesting Holy Art and History Museum, is not the only religious monument in Caravaca. There are interesting 16th century churches, such as: La Soledad, today converted into an Archaeological Museum; El Salvador, considered to be the most representative work of the Murcian Renaissance; La Purísima; and the Convent of the Carmelites. In terms of civil government, it is worth highlighting the Town Hall building, which dates from the 18th century." (Source: murciaturistica.es)

Running of Wine Horses
Wine horses. Caravaca de la Cruz.
"The origins of that fiesta are lost between history and legend. According to tradition, when the Templar fortress of Caravaca was besieged by the Granada Moors, around 1250, and the inhabitants needed water to supply themselves, since the reservoirs were exhausted, a group of Templar Knights crossed the Muslim site, with the consequent risk that it entailed
Unable to get water in the Campillo de los Caballeros, they loaded wine in skins on the back of their horses. They returned quickly and with a spectacular career they mocked the enemy siege to take the liquid to the defenders of the Castle, where the Relic of the Holy Cross was already kept, since 1231." (From Wikipedia)
