Paris Vivant. Inside.

Although it is not a very good picture, I want to share with you a panoramic view on that exhibition at Almudí Palace.
The exhibition shows almost a hundred works by authors such as Gustave Madelain, Marcel Cosson, Leon Suzanne, Augustin Grass-Mick, Joaquim Sunyer, Pierre Farge or Amedeo Modigliani, among others.

Paris Vivant Exhibition

The exhibition, Paris Vivant, 1867-1960, aims to offer the pictorial richness of a few generations who lived under the Eiffel Tower and on the banks of the Seine, all the concerns and longings to come to fruition as an artist. Many of them touched fame and recognition, others covered by the great masters developed a noble and valid painting although they did not have the great art dealers; However, in that anthill of artists, everyone lived and felt the art with authentic dedication. After the Storm

After the storm, torrential rains arrived those caused floods at Levante area. At Region of Murcia, the water level on Segura river is evidential, causing terrible floods.
The worst, some dead, and at Mar Menor surroundings, all is underwater.

This kind of tree is protected under law. The date palm has its origin in the Muslim invasion during Middle Ages.

Sea Foam

Lebeche wind is the name that in the east and southeast of Spain is given to the wind that blows from the southwest. Due to its origin, it frequently comes with sand and fine suspended dust from the Sahara desert.

Gone with the Floods

On July 1986, great floods devastated the entire Segura valley (Segura river). The bridge on the image commemorates that date, as the original bridge here was flooded by the floods.

The Ricote Valley, also known as the Morisco Valley, is a historic region of the Region of Murcia, in Spain, located north of that Region and in the middle of the Segura River. It is made up of the municipalities of Archena, Ojós, Ricote, Ulea and Villanueva del Río Segura.
Its historical origin with the denomination Valle de Ricote is located at the beginning of the 8th century, with the Muslim invasion of the Iberian Peninsula.
If there is a place where you can still feel the sensitivity of the Moorish culture in the environment, that is the Ricote Valley. Winding orchards, river and a special charm are the ingredients that make this valley a true delight for explorers and seekers of genuine experiences. Jump of the Bride

History and legend.
Salto de la Novia (Jump of the bride) is located on the right bank of the Segura River, in the homonymous area, between Ulea and Ojos. It is located on a steep slope that flows into the riverbed and is crowned by a rocky pinnacle on which a late-Roman watchtower, known as Pileta de la Reina Mora, was erected.
Legend has it that many years ago the Ulea Bride Jump was the scene of the tragic end of a love story.
It was the time of the Reconquest and a very beautiful Christian noble fell in love with the Moorish king Abnt hud. One day, when he returned with his beloved horse, they were chased by the Moors, and when they were caught, he jumped from the cliff that formed a precipice along the river, disappearing with the bride and the horse under the flowing waters.
There are still those who believe that on the night of San Juan, coinciding with the summer solstice, as it is a spell and spell night, the enamored couple can be seen floating over the waters breathing the scented airs of orange and lemon trees.

At Jumilla area, there is an Iberian settlement that it is possible to visit on summer.

Mar Menor is the largest salt lagoon in Europe and it is the best place for sailing, surfing, etc.

Taking Off

Since January 15th 2019, the new International Airport of Region of Murcia expectations are to increase the number of passengers of the former airport.
The former Murcia-San Javier airport, finished 2018 with more than 1200000 users.
Internally, there are three Spanish routes during summer: to Asturias, Ibiza and Canary Islands. But there are European connections: Ireland, England, Belgium and Norway.

The hyena and the giraffe

There is a pair of hyenas although there is only one on the picture.
I have found a scene between a pair of hyenas and a giraffe mom and its young.

Brown Bears

22 years ago, the first brown bears arrived to Murcia.
"The first brown bears born in the city turn 21 years old. These are the descendants of the first animals of this species that arrived in the city on March 27, 1997. It was the City Council of Murcia who managed their transfer to prevent them from being slaughtered in Sobrón (Álava, North of Spain). Since then, they were part of the municipal zoo and were, subsequently, the first tenants of Terra Natura coinciding with its opening.
A year later, two babies were born from that couple, a male and a female, who are now celebrating their 21th anniversary. Their birth generated great expectation at the time and their names, Yaqui and Nuca, were chosen by the neighbors themselves through the media. Working Class

At Spain, we learn a lot about the story of "The ant and the cicada". I just read that story on English languaje was translate to "The ant an the grasshoper". But the original Aesop's fable talks about a cicada. Anyway, if you want to know about this fable: "The ant and the cicada" or "The ant an the grasshoper".

Rosemary

This evergreen aromatic shrub of the mint family, native to Mediterranean area, it is commonly to find at fields at Region of Murcia. The narrow leaves are used as a culinary herb, in many Spanish dishes.
