Theater Romea is located in the plaza of the same name, between the Gran Via and Plaza de Santo Domingo (Santo Domingo Square).
The name of the theater is given by an eminent actor of Murcia in the nineteenth century named Julian Romea.
This theater was inaugurated in 1862 by the queen Elisabeth II. Since that date that suffered several fires, and the last time I was re-opened in 1988 by the present queen Sofía. (Source: http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Teatro_Romea_(Murcia) )
