Exhibition "Mansions Of Greatness. Conventual Spanish City". Moradas De Grandeza
This is a unique opportunity to discover the mystery, withdrawal and silence that hides the monastic life through a tour framed in one of the most emblematic buildings of the city, recently restored: Episcopal Palace
The exhibition, which occupies an area of 400 m² divided on the first floor of the Palacio Episcopal, brings together more than a hundred pieces by artists such as Murillo (portraits and devotional), Zurbarán (the painter par excellence of the monastic life), Ribera (His saints and Ecce Homo), Claudio Coello, Alonso Cano, Vicente Carducho (the painter of the Carthusians of Paular), Rutilio Manetti, Antonio Rizzi, Juan del Castillo, Miguel Angel Houasse, Francisco Pradilla, Gregorio Fernández, Alonso and Pedro de Mena, Brothers Garcia, Francisco Salzillo and Luis Salvador Carmona, among others.
