New Year's Eve 2011.
Today is the last day of the year. Another year of crisis, and hopefully next year is better than this. Maybe that's one of the requests that people will do during the change of the year. In Spain, desires usually ask for while eating 12 grapes while sounding the 12 stroke of midnight (without choking). The tradition of the grapes began in the early twentieth century.
Another tradition that less time is to bring something red when changing of the year, is said to bring luck. The usual practice is to put red underwear (both men and women), which can be as sexy as the image.
About the image: corsetry El Trébol (The Clover). They make custom lingerie and corsetry for over 60 years. It is located on Platería Street.

Shopping Street
It is not really the name of this street. Its name is Soapmakers Street (Calle Jabonerías). And the whole street is full of shops, especially clothes.
This night will be celebrated on Christmas Eve. Family dinners and gifts, especially for children. The truth is that when I was a child, only received gifts on Twelfth Night, but I think since the 90s, it is usually given away also on Christmas Eve and Father Christmas who does it.

Lottery Office
Today is the big day of the National Lottery, the state lottery, the Christmas lottery. This sweepstakes began in 1812, and has since held every year on 22 December.
The popular Christmas Gordo (the first prize in the Chritsmas lottery) brings this year 4,000,000 euros per set, equivalent to 400,000 € for the tenth, one hundred thousand more than last year. The second was € 1,200,000 per set. It has been distributed 15000 numbers more, so the probability of hitting is less.
Good luck to all.

Inside The Cathedral: Chapel Of Vélez.
This is one of the great jewels of the Cathedral of Murcia: the chapel of the Vélez. It's worth staying a while looking at the inside of this chapel, and delight in the forms that surround this architecture.
On outside of it, here you can see a post from 2009.
About its history: Its construction began in 1491 and, according to the inscription around the dome was finished on October 15, 1507. It was built as a funerary chapel.
It is built using limestone masonry and covered with a splendid ten-pointed star-shaped vault. The chapel was built by a workshop different from the rest of the cathedral, as evidenced by the mason marks, framed in the last Gothic style. It is not known, however, the name of the author but, by his mastery, the work is comparable to the chapel of the Condestable of the Cathedral of Burgos (source: regmurcia.com)

But so far, I had not shown to you inside. What catches the attention on entering, is the breadth, the height of the ceilings, the silence.

Spanish Constitucion's Day
Yesterday was a holiday in Spain. No one worked, except for basic services such as police, hospitals, bars and restaurants ;-)
Aboout our Constitution: Our constitution was approved by the Parliament on October 31, 1978 and approved by all the Spanish by referendum on December 6, 1978. It is currently being reformed by: the markets. Very democratic, right?
Article 35 in its first part, says: All Spanish people have the duty to work and the right to work, to free choice of profession or trade, to advancement through work, and an income sufficient to meet their needs and those of their family, but in no case can be discriminated on grounds of sex.
Currently, in Spain, there are 4,978,300 unemployed (22.8% according to the Labour Force Survey) although data from the unemployment offices say 4,420,462.

Both transport let you near the football stadium, but still people prefer to go to the stadium in his own car.

December 2011 Theme Day: Action Shot
For the December Theme Day I chose this cyclist moment: a local bike race. The people (of various ages and weights) dress up them cyclist suit, and, although there is some competition (everyone wants to be the first crossing the finish line), what prevails is the fellowship and spend a morning with friends.
