This wall is called Carlos III because it was during the reign of this king that when construction was performed. It was built during the last third of the eighteenth century, and gradually stopped having military validity to the late nineteenth century. This was basically a series of extensive bastioned fronts, linked together, which flanked each other. It grew to 5 km long.
