Carnival is here. A week for dressing up.

"The witch train" can find at fairgrounds around Spain on which you ride a small train and when you pass through a "dark tunnel" and a witch appears and ... you are scared. This witch, armed with a toy broom that she uses to playfully hit kids' heads

The Rowing Show

It has been held in Murcia, on the river Segura, the "II City of Murcia Regatta". A special round of the Spanish championship of canoeing. With the aspiration to become an international event in a couple of years.
Great influx of people on a sunny weekend.

Heroes of Cavite

The monument to the Heroes of Cavite and Santiago de Cuba, commonly abbreviated as Heroes of Cavite, is a sculptural group commemorating the Spanish people who died in the Spanish-American War, located in the port of the city of Cartagena (Region of Murcia) and Made in 1923 by the sculptor Julio González-Pola.
The obelisk presents on two opposing fronts the personification of Glory as a woman presenting floral crowns to the martyrs and shield of Spain, under which inscription: "To the heroic sailors of Cavite and Santiago de Cuba, 1898. Honor To the squadrons of Cervera and Montojo". Also in marble we find the names of the officers who died during those battles. (Source: Wikipedia)

Lost Balloons

MurciaDailyPhoto was invited to the presentation of a new model of French family car brand (around two weeks ago).
Children had lots of activities while parents had the opportunity to see and try that new family car. But some children lost their balloons that went up to the ceiling.

Framed in Blue

When I saw that old house, I could not avoid to take a photo.
I love its facade.

Republican Roofs

Between so much tile and neutral colours, colours of the Spanish Republican flag stand out enough. Above all, because Spain is a monarchy (at least for now).

Art in Eggs

Ten Murcia painters have decorated giant eggs at some squares of Murcia
It is the artistic project "Hatching" (Eclosión), which seeks to take to the street the vision of these artists of the city and its environment on these original fiberglass canvas.

Silvered Building

This building is a Catholic female university residence: Residence Oblatas. It belongs to the Congregation of the Oblate Sisters and was opened in 1969, although in 2003 this building was renovated. It is located opposite the University of La Merced.

More  than 70 ham cutters all over Spain have come to Murcia to benefit AECC (Spanish Association Against Cancer).

Playing Chess

Everybody could play chess last saturday.
About Redes program: it is a program promoted by Municipality of Murcia where if you have 12 to 30 years can learn about murcian cooking, skating, playing chess, football, photography, web designing, and so on.
