From France, Patrouille REVA. I like those airplanes because there are different form others. I love their silhouettes.
I think that shot it is more difficult to take it than yesterday. I have to wait the instant and predicting their path.

The Shining
When I took this photo at School of Dramatic Arts of Murcia some weeks ago, I didn't expect to find this. It seems a corridor at the Overlook Hotel in Sidewinder, Colorado, from the film: The Shining.

Fire At Garruchal Mountains
Today, another fire. This seems to have been caused, or was an oversight by burning stubble, even though at this time is forbidden to light fires. At this time, some 45 hectares have been burnt. Garruchal mountain range, is a protected area of trees and birds close to populations . The entire city of Murcia is filled with smoke and falling ash from the air.
There have been three outbreaks of fire. Two amphibious planes, four helicopters, fire crews, and even the army, have moved to control this fire. At this time, the fire is stabilized.
Hopefully it does not get worse.

Establishment of charitable welfare nature in its 200 year history.
The current building was built in 1915. This is a property issue in its time would modify its aims the mid-twentieth century to welcome the priest's house and the Diocesan Library. Now serves as headquarters of the Rectory of the University of Murcia.

La Muralla
La Muralla is a bar where you can drink coffee, spirits, soft drinks, cocktails, listening to music, inside a wall remains from XI century. It is located under Rincon de Pepe Hotel and Casino (4 stars category).
Sometimes ago I write about the old wall that surrounding the city of Murcia. There are still some remains that you can find in the basement of an italian restaurant, in a underground parking lot (under Murcia City Hall), on the street (close to Veronicas traditional market), in that bar, and in the Interpretation Centre of Santa Eulalia.

Military Salute
Yes, that captain (I don't know his rank) is giving you a military salute, isn't he?
Today, the King of Spain (Felipe VI) has come to Cartagena for the centenary of the first Spanish Navy submarine warfare (1915). Although, some years before, in 1888, was built the first submarine including torpedo (all history in a previous post, here). Now, the 1888 submarine is exhibited at Naval Museum (click here for a previous post)

Back From Armageddon
When I took this picture (admirals and sea captains), I remembered the film Armageddon, when Bruce Willis and his teammates were ready to go to the rocket that would take them to the asteroid to save the Earth. Well, these become from that heroism.

Patrullera Cazadora P78
Image: Patrullera Cazadora (patrol hunter)
This is one of the ship that it was possible to visit during last week (army week open access). It was built in 1978 and started to served to army in 1981.
The info from the official website: "The primary mission of the patrol is to maritime surveillance. Within this field, the tasks assigned may be different, such as environmental protection, monitoring fishing, combating illegal immigration and trafficking of drugs as well as maritime traffic control.
In recent times, given the increase in piracy that is occurring in parts of Africa, has also gone to conduct anti-piracy missions.
Among the operations in which it participated as corvette, it would highlight the rescue operation for victims of the floods in Alicante in October 1982 and the blockade against Iraq in the Red Sea decreed by the UN in 1991. It was in the latter where it earned the nickname "atomic ant", thanks to its incessant activity, its weapons and its peculiar silhouette. (...) In September 2004, and as patrol boat, it began to make its new primary mission maritime surveillance, continuing its participation in multinational operations in waters of Lebanon in 2008. In late 2011 it participated in the deployment in the Gulf of Guinea on anti-piracy missions."

7 Years Of MurciaDailyPhoto
Yes. 7 years before, this photo-blog started. The culprit: Mr. Tenin from PDP (it is a pity that the original citydailyphoto blog is now closed).
Anyway, this blog, and especially the visitors, comments, community, have made what was a hobby (photography), has become a passion. But over time, every time I have less time to take pictures, and every time I publish fewer photos. I hope to continue to show you a little bit of this fantastic Region of Murcia each day, or every week.
Thank you for reading these lines, and thanks for your support during these seven years. I look forward to seeing you around here.
