The Traces of the Napoleonic Invasion.

 From this vantage point, overlooking the floodplain of the Argos River in Cehegín, the silhouette of the ruins of the Church of San Sebastián(popularly known as the "Ermita del Santo" / Hermitage of the Saint) stands out on a small rise in the distance, in the center of image. This 15th-century church, destroyed during the Peninsular War, now overlooks a scenic viewpoint surrounded by the farmlands of the Cehegín valley and the mountain ranges of Murcia’s Northwest.

Built in the second half of the 15th century, the site was managed by the Order of Santiago. It was constructed in the Mudéjar style, featuring a single nave and a wooden roof.

It was devastated in 1812 by Napoleon's army during the Peninsular War.

Following a recent restoration, the site has been converted into a tourist viewpoint equipped with information panels, offering exceptional panoramic views of the valley's farmlands and the mountains of Murcia’s Northwest.

Furthermore, every January, the site comes to life as the starting point for a torchlight pilgrimage in honor of the saint; the event culminates in the lighting of a bonfire, intended to provide protection against plagues and strong winds.
