Cloistered Confectionery Tradition: The Saint Antonio Convent Workshop

A few steps away from Cathedral of Murcia, on the centrally located Zarandona street, the storefront of the Saint Antonio Convent Workshop (Obrador del Convento de San Antonio) invites visitors to discover one of the region's most deeply rooted culinary traditions. This shop serves as an urban showcase for the Franciscan Conceptionist nuns, whose community and main workshop are located at the foot of the mountain in Algezares, along the road leading up to the Sanctuary of La Fuensanta.

Here, you can buy handmade sweets crafted according to centuries-old recipes.
