Narrow and Vertical

A stroll down González Adalid Street is like walking through the history of the bourgeoisie who transformed Murcia. This street is not only a vibrant commercial thoroughfare; it's a tribute to a family that, straddling the 19th and 20th centuries, propelled the city's growth.

In the photo, the contrast is striking: on one side, the modern and functional facade; on the other, that building with curved balconies that evokes the elegance of Murcia's old-fashioned balconies. It's curious to think that, while today we seek the best deals in its shops, a hundred years ago this area was the setting for high society strolls on their way down to the Casino or the Cathedral. A narrow street in layout, but immense in history.

That street is so close to Traperia and Plateria streets.
