Old Lighthouse
It is not exactly a lighthouse, although it was the work of lighthouse. It is a lantern tower with a beacon fire on top from the sixteenth century.

The Fruitles
A very funny T-shirt.
I have read that Beatles-fruits were created in 60's as fruit drinks, but I'm not sure about this. Does anyone know if this was true?

Feetwash
I think that "feet-wash" is not a word that exist on English but this would be it literally name from Spanish "lava-pies". I think that correct word is "footbath" (from Collins dictionary). What do you think?
I like the contrast between steel and wood.
I can't wait to summer to go to beach.

Although at its origin was to eat on Xmas time, during this Spring Festivities, you can eat at barracas (street bars that only are installed during this week, also on September). It is a meatball in a soup as a tapa or as first dish (delicious). A quick way to hot and to food your body. You can taste it the rest of the year in some traditional restaurants and tapas bar.

Bando De La Huerta 2015
Murcian traditions have taken the streets this afternoon (always on first Tuesday after Easter week). A big parade full of colour, showing the old traditions of Murcia. Specifically, old ways for working of huertanos (market gardeners), but not only the work at vegetable gardens, also all works around huerta (vegetable gardens) like milkman, blacksmith, carrier, ...
I would like to remember that during this week there will be many activities around Spring Festivities. Tomorrow: Murcian meat pie day (Dia del Pastel de Carne murciano).

Good Friday 2015
This morning, like every Good Friday procession came out of Salzillos, the great sculptor of international fame Murcia. This year, the procession has been declared of Bien de Interés Cultural inmaterial (Asset of immaterial Cultural Interest).
In the picture, one of his sculptural ensembles of the eighteenth century, where he immortalized passages from the Bible: the kiss of Judas
The declaration of 'Morning Salzillo' "asset of immaterial cultural interest" is justified by the artistic quality of the sculpture, with significance both in the Region of Murcia, where resulted in a whole school of imagery- as in the history of international art, according to Regional Ministry of Culture.

Easter Week 2015
Both this week (Easter) and next (Spring Festival) are great tourist affluence weeks. Also, they are weeks when Murcian people take to the streets.
The week of Easter, for believers and nonbelievers, is a way to see some works of religious art, taking to the streets. Murcia processions are considered of International Tourist Interest.
I invite you to come to Murcia these days. I also invite you to visit the "Easter Week label", and see photos of past years so that you have an overview of Murcian processions.
A very recommended article about: Aesthetic configuration of the Murcian processions. A peculiarity I want to highlight (besides the dress) is the distribution to the audience of candies and other foods from Murcian Nazarenes. There is evidence in the eighteenth century that this was taking place.

April's 2015 Theme Day: My Camera-shy Self Portrait.
First of month has arrived and also the Theme Day for the citydailyphoto bloggers. Perhaps the most narcissistic theme of the group's history. ;-)
