Casa del Cabildo (Town House)

Casa del Cabildo o Casa del Sacristán (Town House or House of the Sacristan).
It is a building built between the XVII and XIX, which underwent various reforms in the various stages of construction and decoration of the shrine. The house inhabited is intended to be the residence of the person responsible for looking after the grounds of the Sanctuary of La Fuensanta and temple. This task is facilitated by the situation at a height of the building, which allows any person to spot a sufficient distance from the site. At present, the House has become much visited by space tourists who take advantage of the breathtaking view that since there are offers to perform their photographs. (Source: regmurcia.com)(spanish)

Reflections in a window

Playing around with my camera, I got this picture. The facade of the Teatro Romea reflected in a window of the Ministry of Tourism of Murcia.
Perhaps what is most striking to me is the person who is looking out the window of the theater.

Christmas Tree

Yesterday, I told you that I went on Sunday to buy the Christmas tree(a pine tree) (for just 5€!). This is the place, the tree nursery (or forest nursery) of El Valle.
Many Murcians come here each year. When Christmas season end, somebody planted in the garden of his house, and others returned to this place, so that after it is planted on the mountain. The collection of the tree is free, and go to your house to pick it up.
In this way, the regional government tries to prevent people cutting down trees to decorate their living room.

He was sanctified by Pope John Paul II on April 18, 1999.

It is the oldest bridge in Murcia: built in 1741 is on the edge of the neighborhood of El Carmen a niche that stores an image of Sanchez Araciel a great devotion to Our Lady among Murcia, known as the Madonna of the Hazards or Dangerous. (Source). I know that I should not translate the name of the Virgin. Because his name is the Virgen de los Peligros.
Another day will show an image of this Madonna.

Paseo del Malecón

Next to the school yesterday, is on the Malecon promenade.
El Malecón is a wall built against the water of the River Segura. It originates from the XV century and, despite being the object of various repairs, by the XVIII century it had deteriorated considerably because of the rain, the wind, horses and the continuous traffic of the city. For these reasons, it was rebuilt in 1736.
Nowadays, it is an exceptional esplanade three metres above the ground. It stretches more than 15,000 metres into the "Huerta" or agricultural countryside like a stone tongue around the Western Side of the city, running between the Botanical gardens and those of the old Convent of San Francisco. It is made up of an area for leisure and the esplanade, from which you can enjoy magnificent views. If you want to rest there are numerous stone benches along the walkway. (Source and more info: here)

As in many other cities in Murcia are being built office towers. This is the image of one of those that will be called the "Blue Twin Towers". Although from this angle is only one of the 2 towers. These towers are in the area Atalayas.
The photo is taken from the garden of the Three Cups (garden Isaac Peral). By luck or bad luck, they are now starting to build these office towers. The downside of this is that for the first time it has been left to build above the height limit was to the Tower of the Cathedral.

In the Barrio de La Flota (District of Fleet), which until not many years ago was on the outskirts of the city, and now it is very centrally located, this garden is named for Isaac Peral (scientific, military and Spanish marine, inventor of the first submarine torpedo). While the garden is known by all the Murcian as the Garden of the Three Cups (Jardín de las Tres Copas). For something will be.
