Pavilion 1. Pabellón 1.

6 pavilions form the former Artillery Barracks. Located at El Carmen neighborhood.
The history of the Barracks goes back to the first quarter of the 20th century, when the Ministry of War built the site to house the 33rd Infantry Regiment in Seville. Its six pavilions, made between 1921 and 1926, constitute a set of eclectic style with abundant decorative references of Andalusian inspiration.
It is owned by the Municipality of Murcia.
Five of six pavillions are in use: Aquarium, Museum of University of Murcia and Library, Professional Conservatory of Music, Parraga Centre, and at Pavilion 2 for artists.
But Pavilion 1 is still closed. Only 2 times was open for exhibitions. This Pavilion 1 has to be remodelated. Since 2015 its use was going to be for sculptural art and train museum, but, nowadays it has not restored yet.

Centennial Ficus Pruned

This ficus is here since 1893. At Santo Domingo square.
Last spring, after several days of high power wind, a large branch fell to the ground. To avoid any damage to pedestrians, experts from Town Hall determined to prune the tree (although a previous month passed an inspection by experts that said that the tree was in good form).
I take this picture last October 2017.
Here a picture previously to be pruned that I take some years ago.

Conceptual Modern Art

Following my visit to centre of modern art "Centro Párraga", on the third floor there is a conceptual modern art exhibition: 'Mapa Mental' (Mental Map).
'Mental Map is a conceptual tour through the mind of Claudio Aldaz. A series of installations curated by Consume Esto that think on the creative process and the ways in which the artist confronts creation. The public is thus invited to experience the space and time of production. To understand the composition of the pieces or remnants of (in) related ideas of the creator / artist.' (Source: Centro Párraga).
Image: the artist, using the gold as path to enrichment or to gain power, it is also used as way to obtain things, any thing, to acumulate at homes, just for acumulate. Think about that.
In each part, the artist has wrinten by hand (on paper), the why for each part.

Modern Art. Reality or Fiction.

Well, I am not a critic art. I am just a person who likes art. But I don't like any art. But I also like that art which try to pay my attention.
At "Centro Párraga", modern art centre, there are three modern art exhibitions. On the second floor there is an exhibition based in a work of Marcel Duchamp (frenc artist): It is a tribute to the controversial piece -'The Fountain'- that the French creator presented - although it did not get to be exhibited - in the International Exhibition of Independent Artists of New York in 1917, whose celebration commemorates this year the first centenary.
At Centro Parraga, 8 woman artist offer their art around "urinary" as men fountain. 'Fountain of shadows. Female visions about Duchamp and the urinal'.
Strange: this is my point of view.
Image: room with a door through wich you can see a bride dress, a bed and a urinary (both not in this image). You can make your own opinion about this modern art work.
Maybe It could be used to post on halloween's day. ;)
