Patrulla Águila. Pledge of Allegiance.

On February 10, an oath of allegiance to the Spanish flag was performed by citizens, with a military parade included. During this event, the Patrulla Águila (Eagle Patrol) waited outside of Murcia to make a large entry into the city of Murcia by drawing the Spanish flag on the air.

A village to visit windmills, and to visit the land of the neanderthals.
"37 km from the regional capital, Torre Pacheco offers good infrastructures and services, including the IFEPA trade fair and exhibition centre, as well as a golf course. Once again, the pleasant climate and scenery and climate of the area make it an ideal destination to take a few days' relaxation in one of the district's rural residences."
"In the mountainous area of Cabezo Gordo lies one of the most important palaeoanthropological sites of the Spanish Mediterranean Sea, known as "La Sima de las Palomas". More than 50,000 years ago the Neanderthal man walked these hillsides. The amazing site and the breathtaking views of the Mar Menor from the top are waiting you!" (Source: murciaturistica.es)

Rice Fields of Calasparra. Sustainable Cultivation.

"The rice fields of the municipality of Calasparra are an example of sustainable cultivation in an ecological environment. The rice reserve is formed by the basin of the Mundo and Segura rivers passing through the municipalities of Calasparra, Moratalla and Hellín (Albacete). This rice meadow also has a high importance for the conservation of biological diversity, so it is among the protected natural areas of the Region of Murcia.
The rice fields of Calasparra are a traditional and deeply rooted activity and it is the first rice in the world that has been guaranteed by the Denomination of Origin since 1986.
This rice, is one of the food of the Region of Murcia unique in the world, by factors such as the weather, the irrigation system, the alternation with other types of crops and the maintenance of seeds, traditions that are only used in this location." (Source: La Opinión de Murcia)

Go to the Light

That image reminds me to "Poltergeist" (1982 film), when they said: "go to the light Carol Anne".

I took this photo at "Cabezo Gordo" (Torre Pacheco - Region of Murcia) during a visit of the oldest rests of neanderthal in Europe.
