Solar Race 2014

SOLAR RACE Region of Murcia is a competition of efficiency and resistance to powered alternative energy sources to conventional fuel vehicles. The purpose of participating vehicles is to travel using the least amount of energy possible.
SOLAR RACE IV Edition was held last weekend (actually from 17 to 19 October 2014), and was performed in an urban circuit of the city of Murcia. Until now it had been held in Cartagena racetrack.

The competition was divided into two groups:
• Experimental Vehicles and
• City vehicles

Within each group, the vehicle had to compete in one of the following categories, depending on the energy source that used:
• Solar Photovoltaic
• Biofuels
• Hydrogen
• Plug electrical

The car had to be designed and built by student groups from schools, primarily high schools and vocational schools, and universities.

Reenactment 2014.

Last weekend, the city of Murcia was taken by military troops ... of differents wars. The Codex Belix association organized again this event which shows rigorously, historical battles, as well as war camps of several periods. One way to bring the history to the street, and to show that war should never be to resolve a situation between countries or citizens.
In the picture: American troops tank (I think from World War II).

Islas Hormigas

Between Islas Hormigas (Ants Islands) and Cabo de Palos (Cape Palos), is the marine reserve that bears their name. An ideal place for scuba diving. In this space, underwater, different mountains that have been the cause of many shipwrecks. One of the wrecks caused most casualties was the ship SS Sirio, in 1906, carrying passengers from Italy to the United States of America. The Cabo de Palos lighthouse was built in 1864, so it is not understood why the ship went between Islas Hormigas and Cabo de Palos. It is believed that picking up passengers illegally from the coast.

Cala Fria. Cabo de Palos.

First of all, click on image to enlarge and enjoying this panoramic.
Cape Palos and Hormigas (Ants) Islands is a marine reserve, and this is one of the best places for diving in Europe (if not, the best). And for beginners divers, or divers who want to make a quiet diving, or on windy days, is this cove: Cala Fria (Cold Cove), near the lighthouse of Cabo de Palos (Cape Palos). To this place, comes many diving schools to teach.

Mistery Lighthouse

Revisiting after two years, this wonderful lighthouse at Cape Palos.
Off the coast of this lighthouse, have been numerous shipwrecks that are the cause for which this lighthouse was built.
And there is no mystery (that I know), but that perspective give me some mistery.

Made In Jabon

A soap bubble show, highly recommended: Made in Jabón (made in soap). If this goes through your town, I recommend watching this show. Ephemeral and very beautiful. A little over an hour, where you can not stop looking. A show very carefully, both in execution and a good script.
Image: A few moments of the show that I saw last Sunday at the Teatro Circo (Circus theatre).
