Today, June 9th, is the Region of Murcia Day. After Spanish Constitution of 1978, the autonomous communities were creating. In June 9th 1980 it was stablished the drafting committee of the statute, a group that took place in all the sensitivities to generate a plural text as possible. After the text was approved by the political parties at that time, and then pass by the Spanish Congress of Deputies, the King signed the text on June 9, 1982.

The Region of Murcia is located in the southeastern of Spain, between Andalusia (west), Castilla-La Mancha (North), Valencia (East) and the Mediterranean Sea (South).
