Islas Hormigas
Between Islas Hormigas (Ants Islands) and Cabo de Palos (Cape Palos), is the marine reserve that bears their name. An ideal place for scuba diving. In this space, underwater, different mountains that have been the cause of many shipwrecks. One of the wrecks caused most casualties was the ship SS Sirio, in 1906, carrying passengers from Italy to the United States of America. The Cabo de Palos lighthouse was built in 1864, so it is not understood why the ship went between Islas Hormigas and Cabo de Palos. It is believed that picking up passengers illegally from the coast.

I can definitely see the need for a lighthouse with those rocks.
