Castle of Larache

Castle of Larache is not a castle but it was an almunia (palace). It was built on 12th or 13th century.

It has a plant of 2,160 square meters integrated into a residential building surrounded by a walled perimeter (80 centimeters wide and 7 meters high).

The almunias were country houses for the medieval Islamic elites for their enjoyment, which also had farms.

It is located between Monteagudo and Cabezo de Torres villages (municipallity of Murcia)
