In Spain, since 2011, because of its potential colonizer and pose a serious threat to native species, habitats or ecosystems, this species has been listed in the Spanish Catalogue of Invasive Exotic Species, Spain being prohibited its introduction into the nature, possession, transportation, trade and commerce.
