It is the official advisory body of the Government of the Region of Murcia in socio-economic and labor issues, and is the channel of participation of Murcia in the planning and implementation of economic policy of the Community social and economic agents.
It was created by Law 3/1993, of July 16.
It is headquartered in the city of Murcia.
