Vistabella Neighborhood
This neighborhood was built on the outskirts of the city between 1948 and 1953 and was intended for civil servants, former military personnel, and widows of the Spanish Civil War (whose were expropriated after the opening of the Gran Vía street). A total of 1,136 homes were built (buildings and single-family homes). Founded in 1950, with the innovative Ciudad Jardín design (garden city design).
Originally, the area where the neighborhood is located was a riverbed of Segura river.
Due to the city's growth in recent years, it is currently a central neighborhood in the city of Murcia, yet its tranquility is its main characteristic.
