A Quiet Sunday
On the left, Convent Church of Santa Ana, at Santa Ana street (next to Alfonso X avenue). 15th Century.
"The convent church of Santa Ana is the third temple since the founding of the convent in 1490. It is due to the projects of Brother Antonio de San José and Toribio Martínez de la Vega. The authors of the cover are Lucas de los Corrales and Andrés Martínez de la Vega. The interior is decorated with beautiful blue geometric paintings and is dominated by the altarpiece by José Ganga Ripoll, who, disobeying the wishes of the nuns, commissioned the decorative work - thirteen sculptures - to Francisco Salzillo. In front of it, the choir of curved and straight lines that produce the sensation of movement." (Source, TurismoRegiondeMurcia.es)
