Mountains of Carrascoy (Sierra de Carrascoy y El Valle)

At only 6 kilometers from the city of Murcia is the Mountains of Carrascoy and The Valley.
The strategic location of the mountains overlooking the valley of the river valleys of Segura and Guadalentín has meant that the man chose this land as a place of settlement throughout history. Found remains of the Bronze Age, Argar, Iberians, Romans, Visigoths and Arabs. In the archaeological complex of the Iberian Sanctuary of Light and the monastery church of Nuestra Señora de la Luz, excavations confirmed the existence of a Latin-inspired temple, built between III and II century BC.
