Mercado de Correos on Xmas Time

 

Beautiful former post office building converted into a leisure space. In 2019 I had posted about that place.

Inside of that building you can find 14 food and beverage stalls, including a discoteque.

As a curiosity, some few meters below at El Invernadero discoteque, it is preserved a bunker built during the Civil War in 1937. It was part of defense plan to protect the population from bombing, and it could accommodate up to 200 people. In addition to its function as a shelter, it was also used for house important documents from the former post office headquarters.
