The Lady Sardine Parade. Everyone Wants a Whistle.

 The Testament of the Sardine gave way to this parade, featuring marching bands, percussion groups, and dance troupes (from Poland). From the elegance of the choreography and the thunderous rhythm of the batucadas to the spontaneous joy of the groups on the street, the parade is a delight. The "sardineros" are a highlight, not on floats, but among the crowd, distributing toys and spreading joy at ground level, where children are the true stars, asking for gifts and even snatching them from the sardineros' hands. The floats, like the one dedicated to Eros* with its playful typography, and the massive distribution of toys, define a day of generosity and shared exuberance. The massive turnout in the historic streets of Murcia reaffirms that the Burial of the Sardine is a Festival of International Tourist Interest that unites the entire community in a celebration of life and spring.
