Between Planks and Watercourses

 Above the steady flow of the Segura River as it passes through Abarán, the wooden crossbeams of the footbridges reveal the varied effects of wear caused by the passage of time (and of people). In this close-up view, the pronounced, weathered grain of the planks frames a narrow gap, through which the vibrant green of the riverbank can be glimpsed.
