Chronicle of a Moment
There are photos you don't look for, you find. As I passed by the Almudí Palace, this 'Crisis in Spain' poster seemed to shout at the pedestrian walking by, masked. It's an image that freezes time: the history of Murcia etched in stone, art denouncing our present, and the citizen trying to carry on.
This image in front of the Almudí Palace captures the pulse of the first half of 2021: the uncertainty of the pandemic under the mask and the end of the state of emergency. The poster for the "Crisis in Spain" exhibition (April 2021) engages with the passerby, reflecting a society processing trauma through art while mass vaccination progressed. It's a visual chronicle of chance and resilience on the streets of Murcia.
