From Convent to school Desks: The Hidden Past of Baquero
Few people know that beneath the playground of the Andrés Baquero Primary School lie the remains of the old Convent of the Trinity. The building you see today, with its distinctive red brick, was built in 1905 to modernize a rather neglected area.
I love this photo because, even though we're looking through the fence, what we see is pure Murcia history: from the Moorish wall that runs beneath it to the cutting-edge school building of a century ago. A place that has been part of the city's soul for centuries.
