Stone Silence
Some streets are like arrows. Calle de las Monjas (Nuns' Street) in Caravaca de la Cruz allows no distractions: its facades inevitably draw you toward the tower of San José. It's a corridor of history where time seems to have stood still between the cloistered convent and the sound of footsteps on the stone.
Calle de las Monjas (Nun's Street) is one of the most photographed and emblematic streets in Caravaca de la Cruz, culminating at the tower of the Church of San José (the former convent of the Discalced Carmelite Nuns). It is named after the convent founded by Saint Teresa of Ávila herself in 1576.
If you continue along this street, you will find the Tourist Office and Calle del Arco (Arch Street).
