The Viewpoint of the Holy Physicians.

The Hermitage of the Holy Physicians (Hermitage of Saints Cosmas and Damian) - commonly known simply as *La Ermita* (The Hermitage) - is Abarán’s most iconic religious building, situated in the town's oldest and highest area. This Neo-Baroque structure, inaugurated in 1953 (replacing a 16th-century original and a second 19th-century building destroyed at the outbreak of the Spanish Civil War in 1936), overlooks a pleasant promenade and is notable for its viewing point, which offers the best views of the Ricote Valley.

The Hermitage houses the church dedicated to the town's patron saints; its elevated location creates a natural vantage point with views of the Segura River and the "Sierra del Oro" mountain range.

On previous post you could see the dome of that church.
