The Awakening of the Sun after the Eclipse.

 This shot captures the moment following a minute of absolute darkness; after witnessing the solar corona, a dazzling flash has broken the gloom.

The image shows the Moon beginning to move away. What we see is the Sun’s first, slender crescent re-emerging from behind the lunar disk. This light, filtered to a deep red, marks the end of totality and the start of the final partial phase. A capture that reveals the magic of reuniting with our star.
