The Heart of the Baroque: Cardinal Belluga Square

Back in the city of Murcia, just as the 2026 Fair of Murcia (running from September 3rd to 15th) is about to begin.

Plaza del Cardenal Belluga is a space where time seems to have stood still in the splendor of the 18th century.

To the left, the monumental Baroque facade of Cathedral displays its sculpted stone altarpiece, flanked by its famous 93-meter-tall bell tower. To the right, the ochre and reddish hues of the Episcopal Palace provide the perfect counterpoint with their frescoes and Rococo doorways.
