The Lord of Calasparra Sky

 Soaring above the Segura River valley as it flows past Calasparra, the silhouette of the Bonelli's eagle ('Aquila fasciata' or Águila Perdicera in Spanish) dominates the heights.

This picure captures the bird of prey in active soaring flight, taking advantage of the thermal currents generated over the fertile floodplain and the steep, rocky canyons of the Northwest region.
