Shop Windows from Other Time.

The exhibition ("Shop windows from a bygone era. Shops and taverns in Cehegín’s historic center.") was created with the aim of recovering, highlighting, and sharing the history of the businesses, shops, and taverns that were part of daily life in Cehegín for decades and helped shape the identity of the historic center. Through images, memories, and references to long-standing establishments, the exhibition sought to pay tribute to those who, through their hard work, built an essential part of local history. (The exhibition was open until June 7th, 2026.)

About picture. Vintage beer bottles that are now collector's items. Mahou is a beer from Madrid that is still in production. That Pilsner-style Mahou bottle, with its brown glass and distinctively square base, evokes the taverns of the mid-20th century. "El Azor" (the goshawk) was a beer manufactured in Cartagena (in the Region of Murcia). It was an iconic brand produced in the city between 1958 and 1985, launched as part of the expansion strategy of the Madrid-based company "Cervezas El Águila" (The eagle beers). Although the brand is now defunct, it has become a symbol of local industrial history, and its collectibles are highly sought after. In 1984, finally, "El Águila" (the eagle) was acquired by Heineken.
